Between 2025 and 2026, the centenaries of Mario and Marisa Merz are being celebrated — two undisputed leading figures of Arte Povera and of both Italian and international contemporary art.

Through a major exhibition organised in collaboration with the Fondazione Merz and hosted in the spaces of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Prague, their works will be brought into dialogue — Mario’s geometric installations alongside Marisa’s intimate, material creations — tracing a journey that spans over half a century of experimentation and offers a new perspective on their artistic and personal relationship.
