On the occasion of the exhibition Marisa Merz – La danza delle ore, the workshop day will focus on exploring performative practices proposed by Doriana Crema. Moving through the space of apparent emptiness, within a time shaped by our own presence and breathing, we will allow the body’s forms and gestures to redraw the space around us.
Through different practices rooted in listening and observation, the artist will guide the group through selected aspects of her research in dance and performance art, focusing in particular on those areas where an invisible thread connects her work with the poetic universe of Marisa Merz.
Doriana Crema is an artist working in the fields of performance art and dance, a cultural welfare trainer through artistic practices, and a professional counsellor. She is an associate artist of Lavanderia a Vapore and collaborates with Hangar Piemonte, Filieradarte and La Piattaforma – La città Nuova. Her artistic and educational projects include Solitudo, Pause and Tabula Rasa, her latest research project, supported by Lavanderia a Vapore and Piemonte dal Vivo.
